     I grew up in Iowa and my husband in Virginia.  Our children knew their grandparents and even some great grandparents.  I got started doing genealogy because I felt that our children needed to have a better picture of their families and where they came from. 

 

     I had planned a small project that would tell our children about their families on both sides.  But I found that the hunt was so fascinating that I just kept going.  Years later I was relating this tale to someone and my son reminded me that I still hadn’t given them the information.  So a bit late, I gave both of my children family charts that showed them who their ancestors where.

 

     The projects are still ongoing and seem never ending so as we travel around the country I plan research trips to different locations to unravel the never ending mysteries of genealogy.
